audience participation, comedy, “surprise”
student performers, and the never-ending message of
“STICK TO IT!”
Drum
Central is a live atmosphere of nothing but drums.
It is an opportunity for STIXX to impact the lives
of young students through training that incorporates
the same elements taught during their school performances
on a continual basis. Moreover, it provides an opportunity
to incorporate lessons that emphasize the importance
of becoming artists of reputable character along with
their creativity. The curriculum contains instruction
for drum set, percussion, drum ensemble, and C.O.R.E.
(Character Obtained to Reflect Excellence) life lessons
because talent alone is not enough.
STIXX is a dynamic ensemble of professional drummers
who use their talents creatively to motivate and inspire
students to do their best in all areas of life, with
an emphasis on education. STIXX is a community outreach
performance group of Instruments of Praise School of
Performing Arts. Their message for kids in school is:
“STICK TO IT, DON’T QUIT!”
